Home Brew Hard Cider

Ingredients

5 x 1 litre Cartons Apple Juice (with 100g of sugar per litre)
200grams of Sugar
1 Teaspoon wine yeast and Nutrient Compound/ 1 teaspoon of Gervin wine yeast

A sterilised demijohn, airlock and bung.
A sterilised funnel.

Method

Bring 1 litre of apple juice to the boil
Add the additional sugar and dissolve
Allow to cool a bit
Add 2 litres of apple juice to the sterilised demijohn
Add the apple juice and sugar mix to the Demijohn.
Top up with the remaining apple juice to the shoulder of the DemiJohn.
Add the teaspoon of yeast / yeast compound.
Put water inside the airlock then fit the airlock to the demijohn to seal it.
Leave until the airlock stops bubbling approx 2 week.
Put in sterilised bottles or enjoy with friends on the day.
