In this brewing video we make a beer that’s perfect for the holiday season. This beer uses the same ingredients as Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale, but we’re making a sour version to make it a little different. This recipe makes a sweet, fruity, and slightly sour beer that’s great for drinking with family members during the holiday season or taking to a Christmas party. The alcohol content is just enough to get a buzz on, but not something you’ll black out on. We recommend pairing this beer with turkey or ham to help balance out the sweet and sour notes. During this brew day, we give our fellow homebrewers some pro tips, define what we think a spill is, and get our PH just right with some lactic acid.
